CHERRYWOOD DRIVE DRIVEWAY REPAIR PROFESSIONAL OPINION - Bellingham, WA (2012)

Reference: Homeowner, Patty Paus: 360-676-2542

John Tuttle was contacted by a client that had her private driveway damaged by equipment used during a City-sponsored construction project. Mr. Tuttle was asked to perform a thorough assessment of damages and provide a detailed narrative of his professional opinion in support of an ongoing lawsuit between the client and a local construction company. Mr. Tuttle’s narrative turned the tide of the lawsuit and removed the need for costly and time consuming litigation procedures. The narrative was challenged by and withstood an opposing engineer’s professional opinion with a final decision landing in favor of Mr. Tuttle’s client. Project Budget: $20,000.

CHUCKANUT POINT VIEW ESTATES EASEMENT ACCESS RESTORATION - Bellingham, WA (2011)

Reference: Adelstein, Sharpe & Serka, Phil Sharpe : 360-671-6565

John Tuttle was contacted by a client that had platted access to their view property blocked by the neighbor’s construction of a large rock retaining wall. Mr. Tuttle facilitated efforts of Whatcom County personnel, a land surveyor, and a geotechnical engineer to access the extents to encroachment. In direct collaboration with a Bellingham attorney, Mr. Tuttle prepared an access restoration justification report to support the client’s interests in a lawsuit between the two neighboring parties. The report thoroughly documented requirements for emergency vehicle access to the client’s property, adjacent geohazard critical areas, and the geotechnical stability of the rock wall. The strong engineering content within the justification report lead to a mutually agreed upon resolution to the lawsuit. Project Budget: $30,000.
