Services for this environmental mitigation project included survey mapping, , permitting, design, P,S&E, and construction oversight in direct coordination with the project's wetland biologist. In order to offset impacts of an adjacent roadway extension, approximately one acre of wetland was restored and an additional 3.5 acres of existing wetland were enhanced. Improvements were supplied in order to increase hydrologic function (creation of shallow pools), to increase water quality function (planting thicker stemmed vegetation), and to create a more diverse plant community in an area with limited woody vegetation. This project showcased our ability to effectively perform site assessments, multi-disciplinary design and permitting, and coordinate with numerous resource agencies. The estimated construction budget for this project was $130,000.
